I need a credit card

how do I convince my dad 2 give me a credit card?? I really need one and all my frndzz have credit cards and I get jealous...my wallet needs one!!! plzzz help mee!!

no, you dont need a credit card, and neither does your wallet
you also shouldnt do what your friends do
im assuming you also all buy the same trendy clothes and then throw them out after a month or less
a credit card is a HUGE responsibility
there not for kids who want things now
there for people with MONEY who dont have the money to pay off something right away
most people with them are thousands of dollars in debt
because they dont have the money to pay off the crap they bought
and most of that crap is impulse buys...in other words
crap you dont need but think you do
so you buy it and then 1 week after you dont even want it anymore
...I really dont think you know any of the responsibilities involved in having this card...
its not a fashion accessory
its like a dog...its a responsibility
and at your age, and they way you think

...13 year olds do NOT need credit cards...

Its a big responsibility they are so easy to max out and ruin your credit! Get a part time job and use a debit card!

I agree with both of the other answers, get a litte job and earn your own money and get a debit card, you dont NEED one at all.

13 and a credit card? Try to apply for one. See what they say. Do you have a stream of income? Do you have a job? ok ok I'm serious now!! Stay AWAY from credit cards. I really really wish I never got them. All your friends have them?! If all your friends shave their heads bald do you have to as well?

Mrkevin mention to try to appy for one. Well actually there have been cases, I think I saw it on Dateline or a show like that, where they did a test and they tried to get a credit card to a baby and also to a dog and they got approved and the card showed up in the mail.

you don't need a credit card, you want one. be patient in do time everything you NEED you will get.

Simple: when you grow up, you can apply for and be responsible for your own card - make your payments 'on time' and keep your credit rating 'good'.

see how jelous you are when all your friends max out their credit cards and get in trouble. its not really that great, its just plastic...

I don't think that's a very good idea. Credit cards are trouble. I'm 17 and I'm pretty conservative about how I spend money. It's easy to get into a pickle with daddy's credit card like I did. I'm a ball of nerves from the one I got. Just friendly advice from someone who's been there. Check out my question page for more info.
