I'm worried about my chihuahua

my precious Flower is about 27 days pregnant and she doesn't want to eat..I am so worried about her...she loves chicken and she won't even eat that...I don't know what to do...I don't know if it is morning sickness or what it just started today...although...

she has been very picky about what she eats for a few days now..

Some expecting moms have all the symptoms of humans. They are nauseated and refuse to eat during early pregnancy.

At 4 weeks, which is about were your dog is at, the uterus enlarges to the point that it begins to fold in on itself. During this time her appetite may wane. Make sure she is getting all the premium food she can eat. It sounds like you are offering her delicacies she likes.

You might check with your Vet to see if he wants to add a Stress Formula of some kind to her diet. Some Vets do and some do not like to add anything.

I do know that many breeders do not like to add a vitamin because it can cause deformities in the pups. So don't add any thing like calcium or vitamins without consulting your Vet first.

I haven't seen her drink any water or even eat today...she just wants to lay around and be really close to me

look she is 27 days into gestation and it last for about 63 days, She should be eating and acting normal.
So if you are really concerned about your precious Flower then please take her to a vet. Her body may be regecting the pregnancy and she could have infection and die

I want to thank everyone who took the time to respond to my concern. Flower is feeling better today. After reading your responses, I remembered my own pregnancies and how food I loved I no longer liked and food I didn't like I craved so I gave her regular ol' puppy food and she ate it. I was really surprised cause she doesn't normally eat regular dog food so I didn't even think to offer it to her. Again THANKS FROM ME AND FLOWER!!!
