If jesus died for all our sins. why aren't we aloud to sin?

This is an interesting question indeed. This question I attempted to answer for years and I couldnt find an answer. Since my childhood I lived my life in fear of God, meaning I wouldnt sin because I fear God, but I was taught that Jesus dies to absorb our sins, to me this is a contridiction to what I believe, because what I believe is that we will all be accountable for actions in this life on the day of Judgement. Jesus Alaihi Salam is a great prophet of God, but we must live our lives so that we can make it to heaven inshallah on the day of Jugement, so whoever you are where ever you are fear God, and live a righteous life because on the day of judgement you will be held accountable.

That's an excellent point, but I'm agnostic so I don't feel I should comment on why that is.

However, this is a brilliant question. A+

Yes, but isn't sinning frowned upon?
It actually doesn't matter if you sin because jesus will wipe it away or whatever but they tell you not to, when in actuality it really doesn't matter because thou sins shall be wiped away, or whatever.

Also, don't ask questions you don't have a clue about. Isn't that why they invented questions in the first place?

Yes, sinning is frowned upon but the point is that no-one is perfect. We can only try. Mistakes are made and Jesus repented for all those mistakes...not for deliberate sins. That's how I understand it anyway. Good question though.

If Jesus died for our sins wouldn't it be ingracious not to sin?
--Rasputin

On a more serious note I've heard various approaches to this. Some believers told me that indeed they will be forgiven for their sins but in exchange for being forgiven they try to live a virtuous life and honor God. Other believers don't believe that God would forgive a sin that a person does believing it will be absolved; they feel God only forgives sins when the believer is trying to follow God and falls short. Others have categories of sins, minor infractions that are forgiven and major ones that aren't so easily.

He forgave our sin, I want to live a just life for him. Also, we will still give an account on what we did with our life when we get to heaven.

You *are* allowed to sin...to include, the sin of nonbelief.

It matters greatly, whether or not you sin, in fact, the requirement that Jesus speaks of in his word says... If... you love me,... You will... Obey...my commandments.

God judges the attitudes of the heart...

The mouth can say one thing...

and the heart say another, and God is the only one who knows exactly how to read it.

We will be judged according to what we do, what we say, and what we think.

You just forgot to read this part.

You shouldn't want to 'sin'. I am a very firm nonbeliever, but I do believe you shouldn't feel the need to reek havoc or inflict pain. It should just be common sense. If you want to 'sin' because your 'savior' gave up his life for that purpose, then go on with your ways. I know that 'he died to forgive you of your sins' but nobody should ever think that it is okay to lie, cheat. steal, ect. No matter what.

Why do people need reasons to be good anyway? Why can't one want to be nice, helpful, and nurturing just because it feels good, rather than because some 'god' told them too?..

Jesus Christ died on the cross for I sins...because we are Human and all fall short of the glory of God..When he died on the cross for I sins...it wasnt our free ticket to sin as we please...it was a way that we may ask for forgiveness of our sins and ask for Jesus to come into our lives...so we can live in heaven with Him someday...you are in my prayers. God Bless.

Jesus died so that we can get closer to God. Jesus is the eternal sacrifice. He's why we don't need to slaughter goats in the name of our sins. We just offer our sins up in the name of Christ and they're forgiven.
