Don't they need proof to suspend me?

I have been suspended from school for 10 days do to a teacher thinking I had a cell phone.

I have been caught with a cell before and was suspended one day. This time I didn't have a cell phone. I had a camera and my teacher thought it was a cell. I explained to the teacher it wasn't a phone and he didn't believe me.

I was called to the office and was told to give them my phone. I DIDN'T HAVE A PHONE! I had a camera. I even showed them that.

They, of course, didn't believe me. I offered them to look thru my purse. They didn't. (the principal told me before they were allowed to go thru them)

They have no proof I had a phone but suspended me for it anyway,

Is this even right.

Don't they need proof??

have your mother get in touch with the superintendant. she might need to threaten a lawsuit, or to take your story to the media and blow this WAY out of proportion. I hope she has a mean phone voice.

yes I do believe they need proof I wud take it up w/ the principle again and get your mom and some friends and a techer or soemthing on your side!

lol, I love being suspended, but they didnt have a basis to suspend you, id ask your parents to defend you, and sue.

omg thats bare strange cause I live in london and here they let us use a phone I mean some of the teachers are cool --- but some are ermm and they just take the phone and they give it 2 you back at the end of the lesson not excluding u ??? omg thats strange btw the catch me using the phone everyday hehehhahehah they got enuff of me .. and they let me use ti without other questions/... he cant take it if he doesnt have a proof ... yeaa you should complain about that ... good luck byeee & mwaa

I think you need proof. at my school if you get caught with a cell, it's takin away till the end of the day and you get ASD ( after school detention) or ISS. I don' t think its' right, you should have dumped your purse out infront of all them and showed them, that's what I would have done

god...we dont even get suspended if we smoke in school :O

lol you got suspended for a phone? =O in my school the teacher just takes it and gives it back after class or gives it to the student manager and you just get detention =O you only get suspended for using drugs, violence, those sorts of things XD

Due to the teacher thinking it was a cell phone is enough for the pricinipal to suspend you -- which is SO stupid because it's not like you had tiem to give it to someone else or do something with it... Also 10 days is a bit too much, when I was in highschool you only had 10 days that you were allowed to be absent unexcused & suspension counted as 'unexcused' so that's just stupid.

thats wrong! :0 they need proff before they suspend u. you need 2 tell sonbody k. and fyi people use phones and cameras all the time in my school. one time this kids phone went off in class and the teacher just lookedd up and laughed. xD

lol you get suspended for having a phone out in class.someone in my class got suspended for 10 days for having a proper boxen fight in class lol and you got suspended just cause your teacher thought you had your phone out. just get your mum 2 call d school
