This is what happens when people only choose to listen to half the story- they draw misinformed conclusions.
We are not cancelling the accounts of anyone and everyone who is Christian on this site. Where you got this idea from is beyond me. The event which lead to this email being sent around is because we demoted (we didn't delete their account, they chose to leave) an advisor.
The advisor in question was not demoted because he was a Christian. He was actually demoted because he had a complete disregard for the guidelines set in place for advisors. We could not keep having one rule for him, and one rule for everyone else. No one advisor is more important than another. The administrators of FunAdvice gave him warning after warning for breaking the guidelines set out for advisors, but he chose not to listen, and even argued with the administrators. He was convinced that we were pulling him up because he was Christian, rather than the fact that he thought he was above the rules set in place for all the advisors.
There have been at least a dozen times I can count where the advisor in question has broken the terms of service, set in place for everyone on the site. We made exceptions for him, and gave him chances, but he chose to throw them back in our faces. After putting up with his rude and insolent behaviour for a very long time, thinking he could ignore the rules, and argue advisor protocol with admins, he was demoted.
The problem is, because he was a public Christian figure on the site, we anticipated we would get a lot of backlash from the Christian community. If we had another advisor who was a public figure on the site, only Athiest, Jewish, Hindu, etc, no doubt we would get backlash from people in those communities too. But what can we do? Make exceptions for people when they break the rules, just so we don't get their friends up in arms? That's just unfair to those who follow the rules. We don't set these rules to discriminate against religious or non-religious groups, we set them to keep the site a safe and enjoyable place to be for everyone.
If anyone would care to discuss this matter further, I invite them to funmail me.
America is a predominantly Christian country. No one is really threatened living here of the Christian faith. If you are a Muslim you may have some issues. You should try and accept those of different views if you expect them to accept you for yours. Buddhists generally live more Bible-like lives than the vast majority of Christians do. You may try and think of it in a different manner. There are different words for everything in different languages. The stories will always vary slightly from the original. The Bible that we read now is not the origina lBible, that has been proven. Blue is azul and God is Allah, and faith is enlightenment. They have faith in the world around them and their creator just as Christians do, they just feel safer in the stories that they were raised with, just like you do.
... Are you comparing the one and only God to Allah? Allah says to kill anyone who doesn't not believe in him. God would never tell you to kill someone. That's taking their right to reconcile ( Aka give their life to God knowing he sent his only son to save us all and die in our place because the only way to get rid of sin is death and Jesus died to clear us all. ) Anyways I don't feel safer with the stories I was raise with BECAUSE MY PARENTS NEVER WENT TO CHURCH. I have ALWAYS known of God and been a chiristain never a doubt in my mind but, that's not becuse they TOLD me too. That is because I have a correctly working mind. My father was scarred from the church because they were teaching false lessons which is the reason on why I never went to church when I was young.
Honestly no matter where I could of been born or what relgions I could of been raised on I know that in my heart I'd always turn to Christianity.

I'm devastated
"I have been demoted from being an Advisor for giving Biased prochristian AnswersAnd Challenging Policy. I will be canceling my account between 8pm and 11 PM Central time July 10th 2008.
The site administrators Did not like the fact that I challenged them on policy. "
This was a funmail I recived from a good friend and a good advice giver.
I AM A CHRISTIAN. If that is wrong to give MY opinoin then cancel my acount too. If someone's opinoin HARMS you then IGNORE it. Everyday even though I live in America I am THREATENED to beileve in God. My bothers and sisters in other country's are being killed for not believing what I call "false Gods" I only say what I believe are called false Gods because I know I'm going to get enough heck for writing this.
I would do anything to keep my faith. If someone is going to kill me because I beleive in God like little kids believe in Santa then I'll let them. Cause there is no greater love than the love I have with God. I love my friends, family, and my boyfriend just as much but, they are material things that I can't take with me when I die but, I would die for them just to save them.
So I don't ushally get all pissed for these things. I mean I'm used to being made fun of and harassed from the school stystem and others such as gays, lesbains, and atheists.
I on the other hand could care less about them or their choice. Sure I don't want anyone to go to hell but, it's their choice in what their doing and lets just face it you can't change anyone's opinon in this world. Just like you can't tell a teenager what to do. It just wont happen.
So if Amblessed is being cancelled for being a good Christian. Cancel my acount too because I will stand by the ones who are like me and share the same veiws because if no one did it would be a lonley world.
