Should i stop looking for romance since i'm 50?

Asked by surya about 1 year ago, 7 answers.

My kids tell me, Mom you're too old to be trying to go out on dates. That's gross! Should I just give up on finding love again since my husband died? I've dated a few times but nothing fantastic has happened. I went out last night to meet someone for the...

first time and the date only lasted about fifteen minutes because I had to take my grandson along because my daughter had to work and he acted up so bad the guy wound up escorting him out by his ear and taking me home. AT least he called back and let me know he still wants to see me again. But I'm about ready to just forget the whole thing and quit trying. I'm lonely but I don't think I'll ever find the kind of closeness I felt with my husband for 23 years. Is it too late for me to find love again? Should I just settle for whatever I can get or just give up?

Dont think you should give up.Im sure that you feel lonely. No one can stop you.And love is blind.Who care what's your age.As long as both of you are in love with each other.^^

My mom was 52 years old when she found love. She went through 2 marriages and was in and out of bad relationships, and to be honest, I never ever thought she would find anyone good enough for her. Low and behold, she did. And they have now been together for three years and they both have never been happier. You can find love at any age. It all depends on how much faith you have.

Romance does not stop at 50. It gets better. Look at all the years you had to practice. Your children should be glad that men still see something in you, and should encourage you. They have someone in their lives don't they think you are entitles to have someone in yours. We all need Someone!

Tell me, how can you be 50 when your profile says you were born in 1984? Is that a misprint or what? That only makes you 23 years old.

No way! Never give up on finding something special! It's a bit hypocritical copming from me, but you're nenver too old to find love again.
Obviously it's going to be hard with your husbands passing, but don't close yourself off entirely.
It may start off as a friendship, but things develop.
Just keep an open mind happy
Good luck!
