Is it legal to move out at 18?

Asked by leeum7 about 1 year ago, 3 answers.

I'm 18 and my parents moved away for 6 months and left me there house. they were gone for 6months and in 6months a lot of things went wrong in which I am really sorry about. My parents put in new carpet before they left and while they were gone it got three burn holes in it. I ended up in the hospital and had to get my appendix out. They got worried about me a moved back saying it's just on a roommate basis to help out. But when they got here they said that because the carpet got three burn holes in them that I wasn't a responsible adult. I paid 1300 a month to keep the house. So I want to know is it ok to move out I am a legal adult I'm 18 is there anything that my parents can do to stop me from moving out

If you want to do the right thing, you'd pay or make arrangements to pay for the damage done....that would be being responsible....18? - check the Laws in your state.

Good Luck and God Bless !!

um, YES. You are 18, I cannot believe you asked that question, you are a legal adult and your parents cant do anything. Pay them back, move out and go to college. get a job
