If you love the man, fight for him!
Tell him your feelings for him! Tell him you want to be with him. Let him know your own personal insecurities and fears.
If, after all that, he still decides to be apart, then (and only then) is it time to start letting go.

absolutysassy has more sense than sarah78 is. You've already poured out your feelings for him, and he told you he wont have any of it. You told him how much you love him, and the only thing hes saying to you is;he still has feelings for you. The most important thing he said was HE DOESNT WANT TO BE WITH YOU. Thats a knife in the heart right there. Whenever a guy dumps a girl, and uses the line i need a break hes basically telling you its over!! Calling him, or chasing him will only make the stituaion worse! As hard as it may be, you need to let him make the next move. If he still has feelings for you like he says, he'll stay in contact with you. If he doesnt make any attempt to call you, let him go!!

Everybody kinda has the right idea it's rough and feels like you can't breath sometimes and just as it feels everything is better you remember why your so alone again......unfortunatley these are the things you're gonna have to live with and the more you go begging back the more your pushing him away, If you want your man to be interested in you again then cut him off completely don't phone sms email nothing. Get your ass into doing something else you have plenty of time on your hands so go to gym or start jogging, get a new haircut change your look...remember if you look Great you'll feel great. Just don't sit at home the whole time, get out there and make him wonder and keep it that way. He does still care for you but he's trying out something else...let him do it girl if he doesn't find what he's looking for he'll come back

well, i tnk he wadat happennt it dat way. u must start to build u'r self-esteem girl. d break up between u u'r ex is really painful dat u hav 2 overcome. he don't want u as his girlfrend anymore, maybe all he wants to give to u is juz frendship, but dat was just my hypothesis. if he wants u back, let him do the job, he initiate the break up first so let him do the rest.

i have been through it i would just tell him you think you should see new people and always smile and always act happy he will want you back so bad act like you dont even care trust me he will feel so bad then when he comes back crawling at your feet just laugh at him and tell him it was his loss you have got to trust me

i'm in the same boat. it's hard because you don't know what you really want. for me, i'm pretty sure i would give my right arm to have my guy back, but that isn't fair to myself. he made me feel beautiful and special and i'm sure your guy did too. but anyone can say something like that. he should feel it too. your chasing him away. try your hardest to move on. get involved in something, maybe get a new hobby. give him space and he might realize just how much he misses you being there. and if not, move on. try your hardest to forget him. it will time and it will hurt but in the end, you will wake up one morning and realize that you know longer need him.

I've bin thru wat ur goin thru and still kinda am. Me n my ex were together for 5yrs and he jus picked up n decided we should go our separate ways. I loved him so much it was unbelievable but I had to try my hardest and get over him. I ignored his presence around our mutual frens, smiled all the time and jus tried to make him see I was having fun but deep inside I wanted him soooo bad. N eway, about 3mnths later I found out he had a new gf and that made me see that it was time to move on for real. I began dating again and I've had three relationships since him but none have bin the way he and I were. I usually end up breaking up wit the person four to five months in the relationship becuz I compare them to him and that sux! Nevertheless, jus recently he contacted me. He's away to college. We talked n stuff and it pretty evident he still at least lusts over me. A few weeks ago he and I bumped into each other at a dance and we danced the entire night.. Its been two years since we;ve broken up but there's no denying he and I still have sparks. Im jus gonna see wat happens tho. Im not gonna run him down. Everyday he calls me now! So jus do wat I did, try other ppl until he catches his senses! If he truly loves u he will return!
