I don't know if I should tell my Boyfriend that I love him I'm afraid of the response I'll get. what should I do?

The day my boyfriend asked me out he told me baby, I love you so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you” everyday since he tells me he loves me. but that wouldn't come out of the first date of course our relationship is a on off relationship the very first time he asked me out it took a few days before he was comfortable to tell me he loved me (which he wrote it like ..I love you.. In all black on aim but it was cute) maybe he's just scared you wont say it back he's your boyfriend he does love you he probably just doesn't know how to tell you. I hope this helps.
