I love him, she hates him

I'm in love with a boy, but my best friend hates his guts. I don't really know why, I think it's because of his hair colour(!). Anyways, she told me that she gave up on the boy she loves for me because I didn't like him. It's true that I didn't like him,...

but I'm ok with the fact she loves him, you can't help the way you feel. But she told me that she gave up on him, and I have to give up on the boy I love for her to return the favour. I told her I will, but I don't know if I can because I can honestly say I love him, I have ever since we met in june and, even though we're broken up now, I still love him with all my heart. Me and him were planning on getting back together before new year, but now that looks like it's impossible because of my best friend. What can I do?!

eventhough she is your best friend, she shouldn't be the reason for you holding back on the guy you want to be with, it's your own choice and your own emotions, and as much as a friend she is, if she resrains you from being with him, then that's wrong! tell her about it, talk to her about the way you feel towards this guy, tell her what's going on, and that you two wann hook up together... if she dosen't get that then she isn't respecting the way you feel!!

From what I know, a best friend shouldn't do that.
She shouldn't stop you from being with the guy you love.
That's just wrong. It isn't right.
Seriously.

Do what you want. Get back together with him if you truely love him. You shouldn't let ANY one interferre with what you want dearly. A best friend wouldn't be the one stopping you.
Talk to your friend about it and tell her how you really feel about this guy.
If she still refuses you getting back together with him, I think that proves she isn't a best friend. YOU choose your own path. Not her.

its almost da same with my best friend exept she hates me boy friend. my best friend aculy made me dump him 3 times!!! but I couldnt stand not havin him so in less dan a hour we always got back together. dont let her controle you and dont fall for and tricks she might use (depending on the person). fallow your heat and make your own decisons. if shes a realy good friend she'll understand!!!

your best friend should support your decision.
unless there's an absolute good reason that he shouldn't be with you..
(he cheats, or something she know's he does wrong to you.)
you dont have to return the favor, no one asked her to give up on it.
you and her don't date- you are friends..
your supposed to be there for each other when a boy breaks your heart, and be there to cheer them on when he's perfect.
yeah, your friends mostly want the best for you and input is okay- but when it comes down to it your friends should be there for you, no matter what decision you make.

she ditched a boy she liked because you didnt like him? that was HER choice, not something she did for you. and returning the favor what a joke. there are no favors in love. if you like the guy, then go for it. if she is your best friend, she's going to want whats best for you. seems like a case of jealousy too. she had a guy, broke up. now you have a guy, and she hates him so much that she wants to break you guys up? doesnt that seem weird to you? I'm sorry if this sounds offensive to you, but being best friends doesnt mean being equal in all matters [whether its love, grades, etc etc] its about wanting and doing whats best for the other person.
