Who can answer my monroe piercing questions?

♥ Asked by chicagos_own about 1 year ago, 5 answers.

I just got my monroe done like 3 days ago and I need the following questions answered?

1. sometimes I want to take it out for just a little because its sore is that a bad idea and will it get infected?

2. is pus normal?

3. the guy who did it...

recommended neosporin, but is AD ointment ok too, or what else?

4. usually how long is it before you can change the ring.

I'd appreciate the advice. thanks.hearts;

Hi,

I've had just about everything pierced.

1. No, don't take it out at all. It's going to be sore...that's part of the process. If you took it out for a bit and then put it back in, you'd be irritating the piercing and asking for an infection. If you take it out, keep it out for good, otherwise just deal with the soreness.

2. Clear liquid is normal discharge. If the liquid is colored green or yellow, you likely have an infection.

3. You should clean the piercing with Dial antibacterial soap, 2 times a day, and use the AD ointment afterwards (it's fine, similar enough to Neosporin).

4. 4-6 weeks is usual before you can change it.

Good luck.

I had my monroe pierced about a year ago

my best answer 2 you is not 2 take it out! you really need 2 leave it in till it has healed. all your going to do is irritate it and there is a possibility you will have problems getting it back in.

pus is a normal thing for a piercing. you jus need 2 carry on cleaning it with the products advised by professionals. it will swell and crust around the ball for a certain amount of time which is part of the healing process.

round about a month is the best time to change the ring.
go back to wherever you had it done and get them 2 do it for you!
they will give you the best fitted ring suitable

good luck and make sure you take good care

I recently got a monroe piercing and the best thing to do is rinse your mouth out with salt water. And then you should dip a cotton bud in the salt water and apply it on the around the ball.

I got my monroe two weeks ago and I live in Japan and the guy told me I have to wait two weeks before I change it. Since today makes it two weeks I did buy a new ring I will change it happy I've been taking care of it by just using mouthwash and I wash my face morning and night and then I put neosporin on the outside of it. It hasn't been sore since the first two days I've had it!
