I was in the same situation... what you need to do is talk to your mom and casually tell her omg I cant stand him anymore... and whatever else. you need to stay strong for a while and eventually itll die down. dont give in or hell just keep this up. tell everyone you dont want them answering his calls or anything and then tell him that it is over... hope I helped and need further advice fun mail me ~kaitlyn~

I find it hard to believe your mother would be fine with him hitting you. Maybe you should explain that he is hurting you.
Just cut off all contact. Any contact will lead him to believe he has a chance. Dont pick up the phone. Dont talk to him. Hang up if he calls from someone else's phone. Dont argue with him, dont explain. Just walk away. Dont go see him to try and tell him it is over. Just stop talking to him. If he comes to your house, lock your door. It is the only way it will get through to him.
He will not change. Violence does not get better, it only escalates. Do you know how many women have been killed by their boyfriends/husbands? Do you think any one of them for a moment believed the guy they loved was capable of doing that to them?
