my discharge has dissapeared but its left a bit of a smell

If it has an odour it's probably just normal discharge as opposed to the discharge you get with a yeast infection. If you do have other symptoms like itchy, burning when urinating etc. then get something like Canesten as it probably will be due to a yeast infection, but usually the discharge with a yeast infection is odourless.
