How to stop cutting if nothing works?

im down in the dumps right now and need some advice im 14 and I kneed to stop cuting im adicted can anyone help me I've tried the rubberband thing and cold turkey but nutin workes

Seek a counselor. OR. medical attention, or just tell your parents, they will tell you what to do to help you most. :]

OMG.I CANT HURT MYSELF LIKE that BUT IF IM NOT MISTAKING you ARE TALKIN ABOUT CUTTING YOURSELF?OR HAVING SEX?AND what you MEAN A COLD TURKEY?AND A RUBBERBAND?BUT I HONESTLY SUGGEST you GET HELP LIKE FAREAL BECAUSE ONE DAY YOU CAN CUTT THE WRONG THING AND GET SENT TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM OR EVEN THE CRAZY HOUSE!!!

Lol honey18, quit cold turkey means just stop doing something (v.s. slowing down, e.g. stop drinking vs. drinking less)
And cutters sometimes find snapping a rubberband on their wrist helpful because it kinda mimics the pain of cutting without causing the actual damage.

And yes you might want to go talk to someone about it. It's hard for most people to stop on their own because you need to learn new coping mechanisms and that is hard to do on your own...

I've cut myself many times. I don't know how to stop and I admit that I sound like a hypacrit telling you what to do if I'm doing it myself. but that's not my point...you need to find out the root of your problem. you need to find out what triggers you to hurt yourself and this will help you to stay away from it.
