I used to not be able to keep up the routine either, so my friend suggested that I make a daily chart of what I'm going to do that day keep count of my calorie intake... it works wonders! lol also, don't work out EVERY day if you do finally get a routine going, work out every OTHER day that way you get the best results. Good luck!
1. Set a realistic goal weight and time frame for yourself. Do not think you can sefelly or effectively think that you can lose 15-20 pounds in one month. The average safe weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week.
2. Find a healthy meal plan that you can live with. This is where most people screw up, me included. The fad diets out there will help you to get the weight off but do nothing to teach you how to keep it off. I have rebounded with my weight so much in the last 3 years doing this it is unreal. Pick some that will incorporate more whole foods and less processed foods.
3. Get active. To successfully burn fat you need to get in some aerobic exercise at least 20 minutes three times a week. Get some friends together and start a jogging group. This is a great time of year for it. Take a magazine to the gym and climb on the exercise bike. Whatever it takes, you need to get moving.
If losing weight were easy we would all be skinny.
If you drink a lot of soda's you could cut those out and start drinking Green Tea or Water more and exercise is the key... Cardio 2 days and Strength Training 3 days out of the week and doing Ab work is also a good thing.
When I started losing weight I would cut out the breads, pasta's, potatoes, etc.. anything white basically plus all the cookies, candies, junk food in general and that helped a lot with me. I also started eating my dinner foods for breakfast and breakfast foods for dinner that way I ate my heavier stuff in the mornings and was able to work it off during the day and ate light at night.
Get a workout routine though quickly...
