My best friend doesn't act it

Okay I have a friend... no wait. She's my best friend. And she says Im her best friend but she doesn't show it. She says that she loves me (like a sister) but... I honestly don't feel like she really cares. She does something that really worries me and I used to be told when she did it. But now she doesn't tell me and I don't know if it's to keep me from getting hurt or what. But it does hurt me that she would tell one of her other not-so-close friends and not me. What do you think I should do?

She isn't telling you things because of the way you may have reacted to them. She may be looking for someone to just listen and offer no advice or she may be looking for someone to take charge and help her by being directive. So you haven't given her the response she was looking for and that is why she is turning to someone else. So you need to sit with her and ask her just what she wants you to do...listen or act. Communication between friends is so important as you see here. Time for talk with her.

also I usually feel second-best compared to our other friend... I mean I love her too but it kind of saddens me because I've been there for her when our other friend wasn't...

ok, you should talk to her about it, it will make you both feel better, and can also get you closer to each other.
maybe you're not showing her that you will listen to her when she talks to you, so she's turning to someone else, but I really think the only way to fix this is to talk to her, you guys are best friends, so it should be easy to tell her anything on your mind.
