I cant get over him and in a way I dont want to

I've liked a guy for almost two years now. we sort of dated although it was called 'hanging out'. we didnt do anything physical for a longtime but hold hands, and even in that there was so much chemistry. He knows I like him but he always has an excuse for why he doesnt want to ask me out.(we spend 7-8mnths in two parts of the world).He dated a girl sometime ago and he tells me he broke up with her b'because he wasnt over his ex..the girl before I came into the pic.Awhile back he told me he sometimes thought he wanted to date me and that he did like me but theres been no talk of it since. I think we have so much chemistry and potential that I just dont want to let it go even though everyone eles says hes playing me. He claims hes v.fond of me and that I mean the world to him and that he doesnt want to hurt me.If he has no feelings for me I just want to know, but he hasnt told me a complete no either... I dont want to get over him b'because I know theres something there in my heart but this is having such a bad affect on me and its been so long. Hes older than me by a few years but I dont think it makes a great impact on the situation. I spend time with him but it kills me. He thinks we're best friends but I find it so hard.

well I believe being friends would be good for the both of you, because you cant make him say that he wants to hook up with you and since people are telling you that he is a player, being friends would be good. Just tell him how you feel and you got to wish for the best. but until he come to some senses being friends would be good

I thnk you should get another guy but that doesnt mean you have 2 get over him im going through the same thing just act like you don't lke him and wait a little while then when you think your ready tell him
