I cant decide

So I really like this guy but everybody thinks hes a total scumbag and im worried because my mom always told me the you are what you hang out with so would that mean im a scumbag too?

not necassarily. I mean technically with thr way that sounds then yes but maybe your friends arent seeing beneath this guy and you are or maybe he is just nicer to you, just find out why your friends think that ad compare it to urself

This is a complicated question... Sometimes people are seeing something that you might be missing. On the other hand, they may be missing what you're seeing. Instead of worrying about what others think of you, consider what makes other people think he's a scumbag. Because if they're right, he's not going to treat you very well. And that, at the end of the day, is what is important...
