How to get my poofy hair straight?

my hair is soo poofy I just bought some stuff that is soppost to make it strait and not poofy no matter what I do I can't get it strait please please help me.I just can't take it anymore.

ok mine is really poofy to! ik how you feel! but thank god for straitners! get and ggod big strainer! and it'll work like a charm! just try it and see wut it looks like!!!

use shampoo and conditioner that is supposed to kind of relax it [not sure if it actually works though lol] and straighten it with a ceramic that you can set the temp on..but sometimes it doesnt work, and I know because my hair is really thick poofy and curly and it looks horriblee. you could also try a relaxer but im not sure how well they work; I've never used it.
