Just get over it. Your sleeping. Plus I have fans and a tv and iPod so I love going to bed
Yeah. You know the old you gotta face your fears? Well it kinda is the only way to deal with it unfortunately. There is actually a psychological mechanism at work here (one I cant be bothered to explain, but I will if you really want to know), and the only way to break the cycle is by sleeping on your own... Some people can deal with their fears instantly, and some need a gradual exposure. So maybe have someone sit with you till you fall asleep, and then leave. And then move on to having the door open and having people be awake when you go to sleep but not in your room (yes, you're going to have to go to sleep a little early), and then move to just going to sleep on your own with a light or whatever, but have a whistle or something you can call for help for if you need it, and then hopefully in a bit you'll be ok. Or you can just do it instantly, and talk yourself through the fear, and wait till you fall asleep... But seriously, the only way to get over this, is by doing it... (I promise, the fear will become less over time, till it is gone)
I had the same prob and its nice everyonce in awhile to sleep with my mom(1ce every 6 months or so) but I got over it by haveing my nefu livin with me and he would sleep in my room and it helped cause I wasnt alone then after awhile I could sleep when he wood leave then he left for good in like 2 months and I was all good!!

I can't sleep by myself. what should i do?
I haven't been able to sleep by myself for as long as I can remember. I always have to have someone else in either the same room as me or even in the same bed. I don't know why. I think it's because I'm scared of what might happen. I really don't...
know. I always slept with one of my parents or sister or something. I was always fine at sleepovers and stuff, but I can't sleep alone in my own bedroom/bed. Any ideas why and/or how I can fix it and overcome this fear? Thanks so much!
