I am heartbroken & don't know what to do. it really isnt fair. help

Asked by iloveadam about 1 year ago, 5 answers.

Me and my boyfriend are broken up for a month, because of distance. we live about 15-20mins away, and neither of us can drive so we saw each other once, maybe twice a week, but we are like together but not going out. we both love each other more then...

anything, but his mother does not like me because she found sexual ims from me and him. well anyways, we hung out today, and everything was perfect, but then his mom drove by and saw we were with each other. everything was still fine, but then when we were at his friends house his mom kept calling so he had to leave. I went home. then he sent me a txt that said, baby im sorry but im not allowed to talk to you again, im so so so so so sorry, I love you so much and I always will. im not mad at him, im mad at his mom. all of his friends say that he will def. still talk to me. sooo any adviceee to whether I should move on or give up? I love him more then anything, I know he loves me back.

How old are you? Are you really 23? If you are, you shouldn't be letting any of your parents meddle with your life.

Well 1st off. 15-20 minutes is not much of a distance, you're very lucky you can see him twice a week. I only see my fiancee on the weekends so I can relate.. You should never give up on the ones you love. If it's meant to be, it will ALWAYS find a way to make it through.

I'm going to have to get admin in touch with you to change your birth date then.

As for your question, I think if you two REALLY love each other, and want a long and committed relationship, then I think you should not just forget about it. You should do something about it. If you can muster enough courage, you should have a mature discussion with his mom. Even talk to your parents about it. If your parents are okay with it, I'm sure they can also talk to his Mom to try to calm her down.

Parents are just afraid that their kids will get hurt, and that these new 'interests' of their kids will make them lose concentration in school. So when you're convincing either parents, tell them that you two are being safe, responsible, and still take your studies seriously. They want to make sure that you are mature enough to handle a relationship, because it's a big responsibility, believe it or not.
