I found out that 7 out of my 10 closest friends LIED about having sex the first time. They all wanted to 'fit in' so they claimed they had done it to seem cool. Two of the remaining felt so insecure about NOT having sex that they ran out and did it just to not be ridiculed... they wouldn't have been. The one who made it through high school without giving it up remains one of the few respectable women I've ever known. SHE's the cool one- they all regretted it, because even though they had lied about it, and we found out their first times were phonies, they eventually were duped into screwing some guy. Afterall, they'd already 'done it' right? At least that's what everybody thought.

At 13 you are a child, no matter how mature you think you are. You cannot possibly know the ramifications of having sex... disease, ridicule, heartache, pregnancy (which ultimately leads to a baby, a toddler, a child, another nightmare teenager... a resentful adult...etc). Keep your youth! Keep your innocence! You have your whole life to pork whatever you want when you're an adult, and hopefully you'll have gained the good sense to not play musical beds with a bunch of guys. Respect your body! It's the only one you have.

First off Are you a guy or a girl... Btw I'm 13 to. My opinion is you should wait a bit longer, and a lot of people lie about that kind of stuff. For now you should just masturbate. In my opinion.

Why not??? It's not dirty. It's safer than sex. It's private. If you can't even know your own body, how can you give it away to somebody else?? Another reason you should wait!

if you think your ready go for it!! I'm 13 too and I decided to try it its not really the in thing to do because no one really has but the guy I like has done it so I trust him enough to try it. just be 100% sure your ready and be careful and just make sure its with someone you trust 100%

But it is totaly your decition. If your ready and please make sure your ready then I say go for it but not without precation. Please use a condom. and make sure the guy has no STDs. I mean dont be a compleate idiot just b/c your overly hormonal. I dont think your really ready but I am not going to sit here and say NO YOU CANT DO THAT YOUR ONLY 13! WHATS WRONG WITH YOU!
So I guess what I am trying to say is to make sure you are ready for this and be safe. But if you aren't sure about this then you should wait. and THAT is THAT.

I'd say wait because you are only 13 and you have your whole life ahead of you. There are tons of risks once you become sexually active from STIs to accidental pregnancy etc. And as for your friends, I'm almost 100% sure some of them are lying to seem cool or more grown up. 4 of my 'close' friends did it in grade 9 and they all lied and are still virgins to this day. Do what you think is right, but I suggest waiting, I'm 17 and I still am.

I'm turning 17, and I'm still a virgin ~Gasp!~ Trust me, it's not horible to not have sex. I'm personally waiting until marriage because I want to be with the person I love and have forever to give it up than to just screw soe random girl, love her and then cry about it later.

I agree w/ capptain 2 but sex isnt bad but if you wait till your oldenough w/ a job because if you get pregnant,a std or sum like that your gonna be 14 and verry regretful that you did that and whn you find a guy you really love its not gonna b a special as it wld be if you waited

I used to be like you,hun.But,I know so many people who have screwed up their lives just doing it. My own mother suffered a teenage pregnancy,and in todays world,its maybe 10 times worse! Look,they say sex is great, it can be romantic,awesome and feels good but its hardcore.HIV,AIDS,genital herpes,babies...HARDCORE.How about this:They say sex is sooo much better when you wait until your married.Your having it with someone your spending the rest of your life with,and you dont need to worry about stds and hiv (he would definately informyou,other than some guy who knows you wouldent have sex with him if you knew) And its true,self respect. You think the guy you would have sex with would care? Absolutely not. He would want your body. I have been on the verge of having sex many times,and it scares you.Live your life,and when you wait your going to thank god you did.Cause pre-marital sex will make you regret it. Especially when you could have wasted the time on something more useful.And urges and needs are normal for your age,but its best if you dont give into them.One fact: if you have sex,no matter what age you are,your considered an adult.Dont let sex take away your innocence,enjoy your childhood.
