How do you know if your hymen isbroken or not. how can you tell if you break it. I need to know for my girlfriend.

I am not too sure about this myself but I have read a lot of other's comments and apparently you cant tell... sad I wish I could though so hopefully someone will educate us both

okay...when a girls hymen is broken she bleeds..
not as much as she does on her period..so it shouldnt be taken as her on her period.
thats why when some people have sex. and they bleed it is reffered to as poping the cherry
its really just you breaking her hymen.
also..a hymen can be broken while..riding a bike..or horseback riding..
not just during sexual intercourse.

ok but it apparently doesn't always bleed, and sometimes it will bleed more than normal depending on the girl...is this true?

Ell: If you have fingered the girl, or she has worn tampons, then the majority of her hymen is gone. She may bleed a little even with these if it hasn't ripped her entire hymen. The hymen is a thin layer of skin covering the mouth of the vagina, so for something to pass through, like a finger or tampon, it has to at least partially break. It can also break if you stretch, play sports, get hit, ride horses etc... Many girls and I'm thinking most girls now have already torn their hymens. Most don't know though, due to the lack of knowledge on hymens. I don't understand why they don't teach us in sex ed but what the f*ck ever. I doubt the teachers even know. Sometimes it will bleed more than normal, yes, but that just depends on whether or not she has thin blood, which changes from person to person.

It is not always true when a girls hymen is broken that she will bleed. Also they hymen is located on the vaginal opening not on the inside like most people think. Anyway, this may sound weird but take a mirro and look at your vaginal area and if you notice tearing then your hymen is broken. And just because your hymen breaks does not mean your not a virgin. Your hymen can break when you ride a bike or horse, and even inserting a tampon.
So you should notice tearing on the opening of your vagina.
