I found this on the internet, seems legitimate...
Using soap can be very irritating to that area. Please remember Not to clean the inside of the female region as it cleans itself. That includes Not using a douche which can get rid of the 'good' bacteria that helps the cleansing process. Just give a good cleansing while in the shower with the warm water being careful not to be too rough and wash hands before and after doing so.

I agree very much with what stephanie found. There are a lot of products on the market which aim to make money through scaring women about personal hygiene. Most of them are unnecessary and some of them are probably bad for you. The normal standards of old-fashioned cleanliness (wipe after the toilet, wash your hands, shower or bathe regularly, be gentle and avoid soap) are all that a healthy body needs. Eating live yoghurt is also good for you - as you get a bit of the 'friendly' bacteria on your hands you're likely to spread it around your body to the parts that need it.
