I wasn't but I have a friend who lives near there. He evacuated and hasn't seen his house yet (assuming there is a house left). It's horrible and really upsets me that the government seems so unprepared *YET AGAIN*. As if we had NO idea it was coming.

Nope, nothing here. I live in Georgia btw. No weather related problems. Just hecka high gas prices! Seriously...I woke up one morning on the way to school, had to get gas cause I live a ways away from the train station, and got gas for about $3.50 something, got out of school, it was $3.80 something, went to get my hair done, which took about three hours, got out of there and gas was about $4.30. Gosh! I can't take this anymore!!

Well really the government did all they should do, they said that there is a mandatory evacuation, but the majority of the people that lived in Houston, stayed because they are stupid, I live outside of Houston in magnolia, which I about 20 minutes away from Houston if you drive fast. so we stayed, but the people that lived like right on the coast should of left, its common sense. and yea gas was 3.35 before it hit, then a day before it hit it went up to 3.49 then two days after the roads were finally clear of debris and flood waters, gas was 3.80... It's ridiculous.
