I do not agree with Jess at all. Some dogs take kindly to other dogs, while others do not. Take any dog youre considering out to a nuetral site (such as a park or someone elses house) and introduce yourr current dogs to all dogs you are considering. Make sure you do this slowly and keep tight holds on their leashes (so you can sperate them if needed) I have three dogs and have had others throughout my life. Some dogs do not get along at all with my dogs and my dogs will get along with others and all combinations imaginable. Do not committ before you find this out!
I agree with Youcancallmejess, I work at a vet hospital and see how dogs behave everyday based on there owners energy. YOU need to create the leadership and the balance in the home. I had a Rottie (she passed in January) this was my husband dog, I came with a male Chihuahua. they got along great. We then got a young female chihuahua, NO preoblem, then I brought home a Aussie from work, again NO problem. But I did this on my terms and I let the Rottie know (since she was the oldest) what I was going to except from her and what she was not going to be allowed to do.
The thing with Rotties is they need LOTS of socialization while they are young, and to have a strong, confident owner. They are stuborn. So my only advice would be make sure you introduce the Rottie to new people, dogs, place and things. Good luck and all should work out, Watch your engery, keep is postive and stay in control. You would be surprised how quick a chihuahua will but a big dog in place. My 4# will correct my Aussie when ever he crosses the line.
The Chi's will rule the roost since the Rot is a pup...I got my German Shepherd, when my Westie was an adult...she was the BOSS...and he respected her. The only thing I had to watch for was roughness in play. He likes to use his feet, and at 130 lbs he could have hurt her...
There was no problems with any type of aggression...

How would a rottweiler puppy first take to my 2 chihuahuas.
We are soon getting a Rottweiler puppy, of which we already have 2 fully grown Chihuahuas. One is male and the other is female. Do you think we will experience any problems at all. Thankyou.
