How were we created?

I have heard loads of different stories on how humans were created but so far none of the are logial, I know that its highly unlikely anybody knows the whole truth but what are your versions/stories on our creation???

Ok, ok so science is the most LOGICAL way to explain our being created. But honestly, I don't think anyone really knows! Christians try to pawn it off on everyone that it was Jesus and God, and all that crap but Christianity is all about control, and wanting everyone to believe their way, the right way. I am a universalist and I think it has something to do with a very powerful BEING (not God, how in the world do we know its a male) and thats just me... Christianity doesn't make sense, and besides that its a load of bull. The men who created the bible were chauvanistic pigs, and the only way I could buy into Jesus was if they died and then came back to tell me what happened. Sorry if you are into the whole Jesus thing.

it depends on what religion you are. im catholic and if your some kind of christain you belief that God created you and all the things on this earth. God created us from ashes.

That's because logic is a human process of thought, and it can only be applied to that which we can comprehend. Subjective logic is NOT logic at all. How do you know humans were 'created' in the first place?

im not really into any religion. I was brought up as a christian and went to a christain school but if god is real he would not off let me suffer like I have done. If god created the world like the bible says he made adam and eve, the first 2 people in the world so how come there are billions of us now,we are not all related. I believe in proof, so far god has not proved himself to me. All I am looking for is a logical answer

The trouble with any religion and any science is that the parts that get heard the most are the extremes, because they produce the most interesting arguements. I am Roman Catholic, and I believe in creation. However, creation as usually presented imposes human limitations on God. Since God is all powerful, He could easily design creation to follow an evolutionary pattern. Also, since God is eternal - has no beginning and no end, the time involved for creation has no meaning. He could have created us in an instant, last night, just for fun, implanting everything we believe that we have experienced and know in our brains, or he could have begun the process of creation millenia ago, and used a slow process such as evolution! The important thing is that He DID create us! HOW He did this is immaterial!

I was taught in school that even the belief in evolution suggest that there were once 1 male and 1 female that started it all. or else how else could it have started?

athleta4life, if 1 male and 1 female started it all then there was a hell of a lot of incest going on, from 2 people, say they have 20 kids in their life time, those 20 kids are all brothers and sisters, so for them to have kids there must have been incest.

Ultimately? Single-celled organisms. More recently, an ape-like ancestor, who themselves evolved from a slightly-less-ape-like ancestor, and so forth.

Simple single-celled organisms, which were the ancestors of all life on earth. Obviously it's hard to actually say for certain how those first evolved, though scientists have a few solid ideas on how it could have happened - this is the field of Abiogenesis.

lol no not home school. actually, I think it was sophomore year in high school. my biology teacher was teaching evolution that whole semester. she said that and taught it to the class. she might of been wrong though.

I went to Langham Creek high school in houston tx. I wondered if she knew what she was talking about though...

I dont know for certain nor will I ever, but I do assume that there was a lot of incest going on. according to the bible cain and able werent the only ones Adam and Eve made. they had TONS of kids, but they never kept acount of them really.

although I've always had the question concerning CAIN. whatever happend to the guy??? the torah in Genesis suggests that he left home and found a wife??? from where???

is it possible that the bible was suggesting that there were other humans living on earth before Adam and Eve (which could suggest evolution was taking place aswell)? or is it suggesting that cain married one of his sisters hundreds of years later( since apparenlty the bible suggests that they lived for way more than 500 years)
