How to tell if this really confusing guy likes me

ok well this is a very very long story.

theres this guy I like and I love him so much I hate myself for it. I just need to know if he likes me. ok well heres the story.

last year he went out with my best friend and she knew I liked him...

but-thats not the story yet- so they went out for maybe.. 4 or 5 months?
then he broke up with her. he liked me for the rest of the year until a couple days ago.
at our middle school dance everyone was harassing him about dancing with me. turns out I didnt want to dance, I don't know about him though. we would always talk and stuff but I don't know what happened everything changed after that dance.
he had a bday party the day after (we had off school because of halloween er.. somethin) and he invitied all his friends. I don't know if they were talking about me but then today one of his friends came up to me and told me he didnt like me anymore. I felt like half my heart was ripped out. I don't know what to think he might b lying but I don't know..
later in the day one of my friends always harasses the guy I liked because I always harass the guys she likes about her. but today she told him I wanna marry him tomarrow, and I don't know what else happened I don't know what he said I cant remember. but he knew she was joking and all.
then I told her to tell him I didnt like him anymore because I was sick of everyone going up to him and harassing him about me. because I doubt he still likes me so I want them to stop. I told them to but they just wont listen.
when she told him, she told me he just laughed and said ok.
then when my other friend told him he just said okay. like he rele could care less. we used to always talk ever since he went out with my bff and hes been on and off with me. like ill like him then he wont like me. or he'll like me and ill b over him. its all the same!!
what should I do?? I don't know what I did hes ignoring me!
