How to stay cool in 100+ degrees

It's been hotter than Hades for days and the AC is struggling to keep the place under 90 degrees. The pavement burns through shoes, cats are lethargic, it's hard to get comfortable, showers only last a short while, everybody is cranky. What is your best...

suggestion for getting cooled off and surviving 100+ degree heat? This is day three and it would appear we're in for another week of the same. Please come up with something good and soon.

They have these gel things in stores, like your heat pads, but you throw them things in the freezer, they get real cold. Then put them on your head or where ever you want. They are INSANELY convenient.

put loads of bottled waters in your refridgerator. that way you have really cold water that you can drink through the day. remember to fill up the bottles after the day is over ready for the next day.

use mint leaves such as menthol. it instantly cools the body. mix it and drinks, make a rub for it, put it in a bucket of ice or water (or in the bath) and soak in it. it should work. I havent tried it myself, but I read about it in some health mag.
