scrub surface with dawn dish soap, rinse well. After deck is dry apply a strong degreaser (I used mojo industrial degreaser by monster motor company, found it at Northern tool, worked better than expected) with a pump sprayer scrub and rinse, it may take a couple cycles. Use a good deck wash after to blend the area. I bought a house that had a deck in decent condition but had a hideous black stain of about 25 sq feet, (I'm 95% sure it was used motor oil) This method and products made it lok much better than I expexted it could.
