I have a friend that is a great singer and I want to register them on American Idol. Can I do that from www.americanidol.com? I would personally love to meet Simon and Paula Abdul, but I don't have much of an opinion for Ryan Seacrest. Where is the...

next competition going to be held and how do I register somebody on the website?

Hi funguy!

You actually cannot register someone for the show on their website. Every season, the website will list different audition cities. For each city, there is a registration day and an audition day. On the registration day, your friend should show up at the location with two forms of ID in order to get a registration packet. Then he/she can go to the audition for that city, and hopefully make it to Hollywood.

I came across this site where they will send someone to the next american idol auditions, all expenses paid. So if your friend knows they are talented enough to get to Hollywood should go to this site. Good Luck!!
