How to port a 2.3l ford head?

If you don't have access to the use of a flow bench, my suggestion would be to just mildly port the head by smoothing out the valve guide bosses and bowl transition into the valve seat. Special attention to the short turn radius is critical, make sure it is long and smooth, and blends right into the bottom cut of the valve job. If you want to have the head professionally ported I recommend you send it to no other shop but BOPORT Racing Heads. They specialize in these heads and Bo (the owner) there is an honest and great person to deal with. He has ported 2 cast iron heads for me and will probably be doing more work for our new race car.
