I have never smoked but both of my parents do and when my mom tried to quit, she was needing a cigarette and I told her chew on a straw, chew gum and read or something to get smoking off your mind. it worked. and then one day I went to school and I came home and my mom was smoking again. I recommend YOU DONT GIVE INTO YOUR CRAVING!!! my mom is smoking again!!!
Keep some hard candy on hand and whenever you feel the need to smoke put a piece of candy in your mouth instead.
Remember, You are not quitting smoking -- You've become a non-smoker.
When people ask you if you want a cigarette? The answer is not no thanks, I'm trying t quit -- but no thanks, I don't smoke!
I quit for health reasons. I wanted to live longer. I had to keep remembering that. but when I would work on my crafts (when I used to smoke like with everything else), I ate these candies called Smarties. It was something that I could constantly put in my mouth and that helped.

How to make the craving to smoke go away?
I havn't smoked in a long time, but I'm really stressed out, and I need a cigarette real bad. Any suggestions to fend off the craving?
