How to lose weight?

Okay, whats the best means for a 15 year old boy to loose weight FAST..

Like, maybe about 20lbs in a month? (Before school starts back)

I mean, every diet I hear contridicts others... Like, people say you can not eat, and loose weight.. then others say, if you dont eat, your metabolism goes away.. then you gain more then ever when you start eating right.. And others say you need to burn more calories then you eat, but an average hour of walking, only burns like, 100-200 calories... am I supposed to just eat a few hundred calories a day to loose weight by walking and exorciseing? I really dont get it!!! Help??? =[

Ok dude, I'll break it down for you. The calorie is actually a form of measuring the biological heat energy that your food has the potential to provide to your body. The problem is, not all calories are created equal. There are 4 ways to ingest calories, through Carbohydrates, Protein, Fat, and Alcohol. Alcohol it self is not a carb, but there are carbs in some alcohol. Protein, fat, and complex carbohydrates take a long time to digest, therefore they keep your metabolism higher for a longer amount of time, keep your blood sugar regulated, and make you feel full for a longer time. Simple carbohydrates are digested very quickly, so a lot of biological suger (glucose) is absorbed into the blood stream, this high blood sugar is bad, and your body knows it, so it automatically begins to store that glucose into your fat cells. Here is something else you don't know, if you gained 200 pounds or lost 200 pounds, you would still have the same amount of fat cells. Your fat cells stretch and get bigger, but never go away.
I am going to let you in on a secret, people who are skinny or in shape, don't do it to be skinny or in shape. Their physique is a product of their lifestyle. These are the people who like to mountain bike, play tennis, play football, and cheerlead.
Fastest way to lose 20 pounds, 3500 calories in a pound of fat, 3500x20=70,000. You will need to burn 70,000 more calories then you take in. How ever long that takes is up to you. Eat a lot of fiber, protein, and a little fat and carbs, you will be full all day, and eat less calories total. Good easy protein is Cottage Cheese, Tuna, sliced turkey and pre-cooked packaged chicken breast. If you eat these things, it won't matter how much of it you eat, you will lose fat, and maintain muscle. But please please start exercising. Not for a month or until the weight comes off, do it for the rest of your life. I used to exercise so that I looked better at the beach, now I can't go a day without doing something active, it has become one of the greatest things in my life and I owe my health and happiness to it. So be active, live life. Trust me, life is better w/o TV or videogames being the highlight of your day.

this diet worked awesome for me

breakfast- eat peanut butter on whole what bread, with milk, tea, coffee

lunch- wholewheat bread with tuna, a fruit, coffee, tea, milk

dinner- a piece of meat and some veggies.

NO INBETWEEN SNACKS.

this literally made me lose 10 pounds in 4 dayss !

Eat normal and healthy meals like you usually should be! But get more active when you arn't.
If you don't feel good about your self don't starve yourself like most people would, and usually diets don't work. Go for a daily swim or run instead. Substitute the crap food that you might have daily for something more healthy that still tastes good! (Did you know that it take 10 tries to like something you don't?) This way, you are getting natural sugar instead of the manufactured kind.

I am active almost every day and still have time to relax. How many times a day are you lazy and just lye around the house? Count that number and then get active at least that many time a week. Join a team or get together with buddies and go for a jog or somethihng.

Remember:

* healthy substitutes
* active schedule.

Also, if you have skin problems, sweating actually gets rid of your blemishes because you literally sweat them out! Just remember that!

'How can I Lose 1 pound of body weight per week?'

One pound of body fat is equal to about 3500 calories. So to lose 1 pound of weight per week, you need to eat 500 calories/day LESS than you burn.

But it's not a good idea to lose weight simply by cutting calories. As well as decreasing calories you should increase your daily physical exercise. This helps to burn calories and build more lean tissue which in turn burns more calories.
