How to install sims 2 freetime

I'm trying to install the Sims 2 Freetime, and it's not letting me play the game. (I already have Sims 2 installed on the computer)/ Whenever the Sims 2 Launcher comes up, I press 'Play' and I get this message:

Please insert the original disc instead...

of a backup (4003)

...even though I already have the Freetime disc in. (confused) ...Could you help?
