How to get rid of a kanker

I got this kanker on the side of my gum and it really hurts, is there any way to heal it, or at least speed up healing? Also, what causes kankers? Thankx

kanker sore can be causeed by sticking dirty things in your mouth like hair combs, car keys,hands,even foods somtimes, simply I reccomend either get kanker sore cream at your local pharmacy or warm salt water 4 times a day it may burn a bit but when you feel it burn its drying out that kanker sore you should be good to go within 3 days

They are rather unpredictable to label with a cause for them. They do tend to follow stress, a woman's cycle, and food allergies.

Try an over-the-counter medication like Kanka. It will give some relief while it goes down naturally.

Make sure that it is a canker sore and not a tooth absess. An absess could get a lot worse fast if not seen by a dentist. Absesses usually are a bit larger and the tooth might be sensitive or change color.

For temporary relief, you can go to your local drugstore, (CVS, Eckerd) and buy some 'Orajel'. It will numb up the area for like a few hours. And it feels pretty cool too. I used it religiouly when I had a really bad toothache.

try swishing with salt water.
also rinsing every day with a mouth wash with alcohol in it.

Salt Water Helps a lot but I know that it tastes very very very very bad. It will speed up the healing process. A lot of toothpastes can cause it too. Also to numb it for a few hours you can use Oragel or Orabase that you apply to your fingers and then put it on the Canker sore. ((Don't lick it though because your tounge will get numb :-P))
