How to get over the fact that I'm not going?

Last year my mom took me and my friend to the American Idols Live tour, and this year she tried but couldn't, at least that's what she says. we were in the car the day the tickets went on sale, and my dad asked my mom if she had told me what she got me. I don't want to get my hopes up and I'm pretty sure I'm not going, but I'm having trouble getting over the fact that I'm really not going...I try to tell myself I only liked David Cook and Michael Johns, so it was pointless, but it's not working. Help?
