How can i get him to talk to me?

Ok, so I have a crush on this boy in my school and he has a crush on me too. We like each other, but we are kinda shy to talk. He recently broke up with his ex for me. They were together for a year and 4 months. I like him a lot and its been going since...

a year ago. Anyways, so the problem is that he text me and asked me to hang out. I told him I'd like to, but that it wasn't guaranteed bcuz I didn't know if I had step practice after school..... so anyways, he told my friend that he's getting tired of me and that I should be the one to talk to HIM... but umm... he's the man so he should approach me... that's what I think. I don't want him to get bored of me and at the same time I'm too shy to talk to him. I've tried, but I can't.... I'm so mad that he said that... his best friends are cool with me and they always yell my name in the halls and hug me all the time, he just stands there like I'm not present. He just stares. What should I do?

Well I would wait for a while before you take this relationship any farther... I am not sure about this guy... but besides that he just got out of a relationship... and if you jump in you are just going to be a rebound girl which will not be good for your relationship.
