how to fatten a pitbull puppy?

Answer #1

Hmm well if he has a good appetite why dont you try just feeding him more food. Like just give him like a cup or two more a day? Or take him to your vet.

Answer #2

Has he been tested for worms? If not, take a stool sample into the Vets. He needs all the nutrients in his food at this early stage of life.

Otherwise, you really don’t want a rolly polly puppy…Pits are heavy boned dogs, and being overweight as youngsters puts a lot of strain on the joints. Joints don’t harden until they’re about a year old. At that time he’ll begin to fill out naturally, for another 6 to 12 months.

Answer #4

Test for worms, if no worms are apparent, try a good quality food. I found that “Horizon Legacy” Is the best! It is a 6 star kibble, a little more expensive, but the best food for my dogs. It improved their weight, skin, fur and joints. You want to find a grain free food. Look at the first 3 ingredients on the bag. If they are not a meat or meat derrivatve, your dog may be eating too much fillers. Does he poop a lot? If so, the quality of food is not good enough!
