How to deal with my stepdad?

My stepdad acuses me of stuff all the time. He has thrown things at me, missed but attempted to hit me. He yells at me and cusses at me. I'm always crying because of him and it hurts. My mom knows about everything, and has said she would leave him but...

I don't want to because I would have to move to the whole other side of the US and I don't want to. My life is great here. How can I put up with him Until Next year? :/ Or what should I do?

what he's doing is unacceptable and very illegal. its verbal and physical abuse. why do you neeed to put up with his behavior is the question? you don't have to because you dont need to be treated this way. if I were you I would report him, but thats also a very difficult thing to do...so if you dont have the guts to do that, maybe tell someone else close to you who can do something about it,...but whever you choose, theres no answer on how to put up with people like that, because its not your fault. im sorry! good luck!

Mayb you should say to your mum how you feel again but say that you would like to live there even though, if they do spilt up...See how it is then.
why do you want advice till next year ? whats happening ?

Well my dad has the wrong idea about me. I am actually a very good person and I can be trusted...all I can say is just put up with it...I know that doesn't help, but that's all you can do. I'm having to do the same thing...and I will also only be living here until next year and it helps if you just keep your mind on next year...

NO ONE deserves to be abused! Why would you have to move? Your mother needs to be responislbe and Do all things possible to Stop that monster hurting you. She could go to the police and shove his butt in a jail cell and get help from chruches if she has too, as long as she gets you out of that enivorment because, who knows one more day maybe yours or her's last. People can go off the handle and loose it. Be very careful and I will keep you in my prayers.

I HAVE A STEPDAD TOO !!!BUT HES A PAIN IN MY BUTT, IM JUST GLAD MY MOM GOT RID OF HIM!! BUT IT TOOK A LONG TIME, IN ORDER FOR MY MOM TO REALIZE SHE DOESNT NEED HIM AND I HATED HIS GUTS!!! I MOVED IN WITH MY GRANDMA, MY MOM GOT SO UPSET, BUT I WAS TIRED OF SEEING THEM FIGHT AND EVERYTHING ELSE. SO YEA SHE DID GET RID OF HIM AND NOW I LIVE BACK WITH HER, SO IF YOU DONT WANT TO LIVE WITH YOU STEPDAD JUST MOVE IN WITH A FRIEND OR SOMEONE RELATED TO YOU THAR SHOULD WORK.
