It took me about a year to how to learn to get lavishing lashes. Naturally I have limp, colorless, short lashes. But with a lot of mascara I get bold lashes that really stand out :D I get compliments all the time, I love it! all it takes is practice so don't' worry, I was once in your position
I went through that phase of looking for the perfect mascara and not knowing how to curl my lashes
First of all you'll need good mascara, my fav's are
Loreal's Voluminous for volume
Loreal's Lash out for Length
Loreal's Double Extend for more Length
A plus is these are all found in your near drug store, and for that much $
compared to Lan'Comes and Diors expensive mascara, Loreals works just as good.
First make sure your lashes are dry, because they won't curl if they're wet. Using a good eye lash curler try to get lashes into the curler as much as possible to get them up more. Curl them 2-3 times. Curl lashes before applying mascara, because if you do it after you'll get a nasty line, that looks all fake!
Now time for mascara, wipe off the excess mascara using a tissue then starting at the base of lashes work your way up lashes in a side.to.side motion, this way mascara won't clump.
A good trick is to blink while applying the mascara, this really adds length!
Also, apply mascara to bottom lashes!!! using the same side.to.side motion. I hate when I see girls who don't apply to the bottom! This will also really draw attention to eyes.
I apply about 2-4 coats of Voluminous, then one coat of Lash Out, and a last coat of Double Extend.
Wait a while for lashes to dry, and using a cutip wipe off excess mascara under and and on eyelids.
Then ta.da finally in about 20 minutes you have luscious lavishing loook at me lashes! :D
Practice!!! use the right mascara , wipe off the excess mascara
Hope this helps
Wth, no one curls there eye lashes. And when you apply mascara you start at your eyelid and go up in a zig zag motion to spread the mascara out evenly. You also should try wearing a little eyeliner it helps make yours eyes pop, also after you put 1 coat of mascara on you should let it dry and then put a second coat on.
correction for the girl who gave the first answer.
you don't ever let the mascara dry.
you apply until you're done.
I do my mascara weird.
but it seems to go on right.
put your finger by the corner of your eye and pull out like you're making it like you have chinese eyes.
then just keep it that way and put the mascara on.
thats how I do it.
except when I do the bottom.
I do it in a zig zag motion looking straight.
I used to model and have people doing my make up like 24-7...the way my FAVORITE guy did it was he WOULD curl my lashes...he would put the curler on the base of my lashes and then take a finger on my brow to pull the skin up to avoid pinching...then clamp, hold for 5 secs...then do the middle of he lashes...take the mascara wand and gently blot it on some tissue so you dont get clumpy lashes...pull up my eyelid so he could get it really in the base...if you do this really well...you wont need much liner...then wiggle it up.After that he used to have me look straight and use the tip of the brush..pointing directly at my eye to do the inner corners..and sweep the point outward on the outer corner...it looked awsome!!! good luck huni
I always curl my eyelashes, I hold for bout 30 seconds, I put a thin line of eyeliner on the lash line, top and bottom for the day and thicker for the night, this always make my lashes look better, zig-zaging as you put on the mascara does make a difference, I try not to take all my mascara off at night as its easier in the morning then (lazy I know). I put a natural, almost skin tone (little lighter) eyeshowdow on so my eyes look brighter. Im still looking for the 'perfect' mascara so cant give you any help there, sorry. (hope this helps)
also I've been wearing mascara for years and I still pinch the skin occasionally, so dont worry too much bout that.

How to apply mascara correctly?

How to apply mascara correctly?
So, I'm beginning to use mascara. I've read a bunch of stuff online about how to apply mascara and how to curl your eyelashes. But I still can't seem to get it right.
When I curl my eyelashes it looks nothing like other peoples curled eyelashes. The...
lashes at the corner of my eyes don't curl. I wonder if I'm doing it right. It always pinches my skin!
When I apply mascara it doesnt even look like I have mascara on. I can't tell any difference. Other girls, its like really obvious. I mean I dont want to make it really obviously and dark but I want my eyes to stand out more..
Tips or anything?
