How rosie o'donnell got controversial from queen of nice?

Rosie has done TV, movies, stand-up, talk shows and more. Rosie O'Donnell has gone from the 'Queen of Nice' to a controversial figure. Is it her pre planned or on account of a good human being she has done all these controversial statement so far?

in my opinion rosie o'donell is a freak. and I am glad that we see less of her on tv.
she has gotten rich and now feels the need to promote her personal beliefs everywhere.
I find her rather inconsequential, and good riddance to her.
