In the state of South Carolina you are considered an adult at the age of 17 despite the age of majority being 18. You can move out of your parents home at the age of 17 but, your parents are still responsible for your wrong doings. Once you move out you can move back in until the age of 18 unless you are emancipated. At the age of 17 there is nothing your parents, or anyone can do about it.
