Hello,

In most places, you must be 18. Otherwise, you need parental permission, and often the form with permission must be notarized.

In the Uk its 18 and some will ask for proof of age. Any tattooist that tattoos under the age of 18 is not a professional and can be prosecuted. My own tattoist won't even tattoo under 18 with parental permission.

well theres a girl in my year (im 14) who has a tattoo on her wrist, i think it depends on te location and the standards ofthe tatto parlour, cause i kno oher girls with tattos on their hands in the year above me

u have to be old enough to pay 5um wun 100 ta give you a tat that iz one that they cKan draw. Im 19 an da fir5t tat I got was in da 5 grade. I have 5 in all. got a tear low da rite eye. got muh 3 dabz on 5ide da left eye. got a barcKode on muh bacK of muh necK. got M.( on muh rite hand. an ).B on da left. it look like di5 when I put it tagetha. You have to be legal if you don't want to have to have parental consent. Legal age is 18.

right well I live in the uk and I've just turned 17 but alredi I have 9 tattoos and I got my 1st when I was 13 so really the age could be lower than you think

people are saying different things.Some are saying you have to be 18,some people are saying you can be younger then 18.I am 13 years old and I am planning on getting one soon and my mom said it isint illegal to get one under the age of 18.But I think if you are under 18 you have to have a parent or guradian with you.

I am 13 and turning 14 on july 29th 2009 and my nanna said I could get a tatto for my birthday but my mum sais that you have to be 18 to get one but my nanna said you can get a tatoo with a parent or guardan their under the age of 18? so can I get a tatoo ?
