How many answers of questions have to have good ratings before you can become an advisor?

I have no clue I wonder the same thing, but personally I think you should be more supportive in away with you advise.
When I read your advice its good on some terms but then on others its not that great and you ask for them to rate you. its just not something I think an advisor asks for, they do it because they want to help not get a higher position on here.

being an advisor has nothing to do with ratings on your answers
when youve been here for a certain period of time and want to become an advisor
you just funmail thedude or the editor stating that you want to become an advisor and include a few links to some of the good advice you think you've given
then they will get back to you to tell you if your in or not

You really need to stop telling people to rate your answers up so you can become an advisor...
