How long to boil sausage?

Depends on the sausage - if you're talking about a bratwurst style sausage, then you should boil for at least 40 minutes or so. When you take it out of the water, you can tell that it's done by the texture as well as cutting open taking a look at the inside, or with a cooking thermometer.
