How long should you let your nails get?

is there like a limit to the lenth you should let your nails get? I mean, do after a certain time they just start to look kinda like claws? my thumb nail [I actually measured] is 2 cm long. is that too long?

Yeaa I often let mine grow quite long. I usually file them down until one of them breaks. Try not to let them get too long. 2 cm is pretty long! Personally I would say about 1.5 Some people find long nails really unnattractive, some people go out and buy fake, long nails because they thing it looks good. It's up to you really

most people's nails break before they get to the point where they look like claws...

honestly, I grow mine till they start breaking, but I usually know they've gotten too long when I have trouble doing things (like typing...)
