When can I change a lipring?

Meee. Asked by lullaby148 about 1 year ago, 3 answers.

I had my bottom lip pierced last Friday and was wondering how long I should leave the stud in for?
I wasn't really listening to the piercer because I was in shock when I had it done.

They should have given you a paper with more than enough instructions for after care. If they didn't, I'd never go back there ever again.

I don't know about the 2-3 weeks thing. If you got your lip pierced, you sort of just leave it in indefinitely, right? Why take it right out after 2-3 weeks? I had my nose piercing in for about 6 months and took it out for two hours for a facial and couldn't get it back in. It closed up within the day! Call the place you had it done, ask again for instructions.
