How long does a bank wire transfer take?

How long does a bank wire transfer take? I am waiting on some money and it hasn’t arrived yet. It has been since tuesday of last week and I thought it would only take a few days.

I wire transfer some funds at a bank in Mongolia to my bank in Hawaii on Friday after 5:00 PM how long will it take to I see the funds in my Hawaii bank?

Dear karatekat,

Call the bank. I wired money from Canada to Africa and it only took a few days. If you are wiring it from state to state it should have been there by now.

shouldnt take more than 48 hrs.

I sent just over $2000 from bank in Ontario Canada to England 18 days ago and it still has not arrived…it is just insane that it is taking so long!

It depends where the money comes from, per example if transferred from the Caribbean Island, example from the Netherlands Islands to Europe will take aprox. 15 days or more as the normal custodians are done with American Banks and then it will through SWIFT systems internationally. Bu Mike
