How long after a miscarriage could I get pregnant?

1. I had a Girl in Nov 2006
2. I had a positive pregnancy test in August 2007. Later in the month, I notice that I saw black blood. I felt my stomach cramp up but not like the normal cramps from my period because I always have cramps. These cramps felt like contractions when I gave birth to my daughter. Over the next course of days the positive pregnancy test started to turn negative and I had a black period. I saw the big fatty tissue that was not normal at all come out with black blood covering it. The next three months were hard for me because I had three more abnomal discharges that were supposed to be periods. The cycle would last up to 30 days then they were brown blood periods for two days at the most. Doctors could not find anything wrong and one doctor insisted on doing exploritary surgery on me to see if I had something wrong with my ovaries. It was a good thing I lost my medical insurance so I do have to go to the doctor. In Jan 2008 I finally had a normal period with red blood and with in 28 days. Now the cycle is lasting 26 days and is catching me off guard everytime. The last period I had in March, however, did have the brown discharge again. Can I ever get pregnant again or should I just hang it up? It sucks because I am only twenty, I married, and it is no fair that kids at 14 can get pregnant but this is the end for me.

yes, you can get pregnant again unless you are diagnosed with some type of problem that means you can't. Talk to your doctor. And yes, it is unfair for teenagers that can't take care of their children to get pregnant when their are people that can that cannot get pregnant. Goodluck Hun!
